After a full career of age group, high school, and D1 college swimming for Cornell University, Bridget decided to switch it up and try a TRI! She was 20-something years old and has been a Nationally ranked triathlete ever since. For over 20 years she has been participating in local, regional, National and World events, having represented TEAM USA at the amateur World Championships for Olympic Distance triathlon in 2001, 2013 and 2015. Bridget qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon in 2016, The Chicago Marathon in 2018, and the NYC Marathon in 2024. In the meantime, she realized how truly passionate she was about the sport of triathlon and decided to become a Certified Coach in 2016. This complements her nutrition degree from Cornell, and enables her to share her enthusiasm with others along their own triathlon journey. In 2017 she challenged herself to take on the 70.3 and 140.6 distances, most recently placing 5th in her age group at IronMan Maryland in 2021, and qualified for and completed IronMan 70.3 World Championships/St. George Utah in October 2022.
Bridget's philosophy is that of making the sport enjoyable, achievable and a desirable way of life.
In addition, Bridget is also CPR certified, and a member of US Masters Swimming. She lives in Scotch Plains, NJ with her husband Phil, son Henry (age 15) and her daughter Billie (age 19) is in her freshman year swimming D1 for the University of Kentucky. They have a mini-goldendoodle named Maizy (age 8) who does NOT like the water!
